In their fifth appearance at the Comedy Festival, Melbourne musical duo Anyone for Tennis? – Andrew ‘Doody’ Doodson and Jason ‘Jase’ English-Rees – have created their most ambitious show yet; one almost as reliant on pre-recorded sound and video as it is on the pair’s finely-tuned and memorable comic songs.
On their media night, a string of technical glitches somewhat slowed the show’s momentum, but the resulting dip in energy was only temporary – a testimony to the duo’s commitment to their craft.
Comedy. Music. Etc. blends engaging banter and short sketches (both live and pre-recorded) with catchy songs about uncomfortable subjects: the early sexualisation of young women, binge drinking and drug taking, life’s many disappointments, and homelessness. Several songs from earlier AFT? shows reappear, but given that one of them is quite possibly the funniest song about menstruation ever written from the male perspective, such recycling of material can almost be forgiven.

I've always wondered why so many comedians make reference to that old phrase "anyone for tennis". Is that just me or does anyone else out there think the same?!
